Linda Praylow, of Hartford, died in a holding cell on Sunday, April 7, while in the custody of the Hartford Police.
She was arrested on Friday, April 5, for two outstanding warrants and held on a $20,000 bond. Police did not say what the warrants were for.
On Sunday, during the early morning hours, Praylow was discovered unresponsive in her cell, Inspector General Robert Devlin Jr. said.
Devlin said Hartford Police rendered medical aid, and American Medical Response transported her to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford.
During transport, Praylow had no pulse. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said the cause and manner of Praylow's death were pending.
The Office of Inspector General and the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad are conducting the investigation.
